This painting was in response to my first summer in Oregon. Having found a magical place to live for the summer I was then faced with my own emotional trauma. It was like lost, the mountains revealing to me all of the things I knew and loved inside me, and testing my mental capacity. Luckily many new friends have forgiven me for my mental breakdown, as they tend to happen here.. the valley of misfits.
